As I woke up today I looked around
I thought of the land that I stand on
I look at the Heavens and thank God
For this land, the land where I belong
It’s a country called Pakistan
A land which is my life
A land which is more than a dream
A land for which I shall always strive
Expressing your love for your country isn't easy
We all feel it at some level whether we like it or not
All it takes is a little heart
To thank all those who have ever fought
It’s a dream of mine to serve this country
To follow in the foot steps of the Quaid
To do something a little extraordinary
To die knowing that I at least tried
I am sitting and scratching my head
Wondering what I should write
This is a humble attempt
I wish I can make all the wrongs right
I know my country has been through a lot
And so have been I
It has managed to survive so far
And so will I
Today I make a promise to this land
That forever it I shall serve
If need be for it I will die
After all it’s the land I love
